what is application streaming?
The delivery of thick-client functionality to client PCs typically involves a visit to the device (or of the device to the IT Department), or the use of proprietary management tools and functionality. Both of these methods can be problematic when applications installations cause compatibility issues with the underlying operating system or other applications.
Application Streaming allows applications to delivered to users’ desktops on demand, and for those applications to run in an isolated, protected environment. A centralised licensing system allows for the short-term provisioning of licenses, providing a far greater level of control over license usage.
